We are using LTB 170D1/B Breaker with BKL222 Operating panel. i want to know the function of Gas pressure switch.

I want to know how low SF6 gas pressure safety work in breaker closing & tripping circuit.

ABB's answer

A density monitor for SF6 is mounted on the circuit breaker. The monitor activates micro switches when the low SF6 gas pressure levels has been reached. In our standard schematics the signal from the micro switches activates a contactor that opens the trip and close circuits for the circuit breaker and thereby blocking the breaker from operating.
