What type of insulation is used in a current transformer integrated into a SF6 gas EDT circuit breaker?.

Christian Cingolani, Global Product Marketing Manager LTB

ABB's answer

The current transformer integrated use the SF6 gas from the circuit breaker. It use the same SF6 gas at the same pressure as the circuit breaker. You only need to fill the C.B.. If you lose the SF6 gas pressure, the C.T. isolation is maintained with atmospheric pressure up to 72 kV.
