Why do you recommend integrated control panels for GIS?

Most of the GIS shown on your webpage have a control panel attached to the bay. We usually separate the control panels from the switchgear to minimize mechanical stress for the panel during switching and to keep a safety distance from the gear.

ABB's answer

Integrated local control cubicles reduce commissioning efforts, as all functional tests of the bay are done in the factory before shipping. Site wiring is kept to a minimum. The control panel actually offers additional protection when operating a bay locally, especially when drives for disconnectors and earthing switching are also located at the panel.
