What is the difference between ELK hybrid switchgear and PASS hybrid switchgear?

Olav Knudsen , Principal Engineer, Gas-insulated switchgear

ABB's answer

ELK hybrid switchgears offers the whole range of GIS components of the ELK series including bus ducts. Site assembly requires an on-site high-voltage-test after installation of primary components. PASS hybrid switchgear comes fully assembled without the need of a high-voltage test.
