What is the equivalent circuit breaker frequency that is associated with breaker opening time?

Giosafat Cavaliere , Global Product Marketing Manager and Head of Sales, Generator circuit-breakers

ABB's answer

The opening time is the interval of time between the instant of energising the opening release, the generator circuit-breaker being in the closed position, and the instant when the arcing contacts have separated in all poles. This time is independent from the power frequency, hence there is no frequency value associated to it.
