What routine tests are recommended for instrument transformers?

We have 50 current and voltage transformers installed since 1997. As there are frequent faults in transmission network, so, in that condition, what routine tests (3-years, 5 years, 10 years, 20 years) are required to confirm healthiness of current and voltage transformers as these transformers are used for energy metering and protection?

ABB's answer

We recommend a Tan-delta measurement and/or taking an oil sample for dissolved gas analysis.
