Is an RC-circuit enough to ensure a good static voltage sharing in series connection of thyristors or do I also need additional resistors?

Katja Fröhlich, Communications Manager

ABB's answer

For a good dynamic voltage sharing, the RC-circuit can be sufficient. However, for static balancing an additional resistor might be required for the compensation of the leakage current imbalance of the serial connected devices.
