Can ABB Powerwave33 UPS be used for electric motor protection?

We have a very sensitive drive in paper mill and occasionally power outages, and electric motor of this drive must continue to rotate for 1 minute when incident occurs. This motor is driven by ABB ACS880 drive, 11 kW. Idea is to power this drive via Powerwave33 UPS. Is that possible?

ABB's answer

ABB Powerwave 33 can be used to protect the ACS880 drive, provided that the braking power is controlled. In other words the motor/drive combination is not back-feeding power to the grid.

First: The operating voltages must be in the same range. The voltages 380, 400, 415VAC are matching with PW33 UPS.

Second: The maximum input current of the drive must be lower than the nominal output current of the UPS.

With the above verifications the PW 33 works fine with ACS880
