Can I use a Generator in conjunction with a UPS ?

Carlo Kufahl, Product marketing

ABB's answer

Yes, this is usually in business critical applications or those systems where safety may be an issue. They may be used where the mains power cannot be relied upon. As a “Rule of Thumb” the generator should be sized at 1.5 x nominal Ups capacity for a Transformerless UPS.
