What is a Transformerless UPS & its advantages ?

A Transformerless Ups does not have any internal Transformer, the phase controlled rectifier is replaced by a DC Converter which boosts the Rectifier output to a higher level Advantages are : The Generator can be sized smaller than with a Transformer based Ups. Improved Efficiency Higher Input Power Factor Reduced operating costs Reduced physical size & weight Lower audible Noise Enhanced battery life
