Can we use instrument air instead of N2 for the optical purge of a PUV3402?

Gary Brewer

ABB's answer

We recommend N2 for the optical purge on all PUV3402's.  The reason is to minimize the zero drift.  If air is used as the optical purge the area at the source will convert the oxygen in the air to ozone, which is a UV absorber and thus increase the zero drift on the analysis.
