What are the measuring range limits for the sensors?

Horst Schwanzer, Global Product Manager for Temperature (in Alzenau, Germany)

ABB's answer

TSP100, 200, 300 and 400 can be used in the measurement range -196°C up to +600°C. TSH200 can be used in the measurement range from +600°C up to +1800°C. Attention: There are measurement range influences like process conditions, medium and hazardous areas which reduce the measurement range of the sensor.

I want to give another answer, TSP could be used to until about 1100 degC when configurating a TC with high temperature resistance thermowell, eg. Inconel 600 / 314 / 446. If we use RTD on TSP, it's correct that the up range is +600 degC. Another information is that temperature resistance always combine with pressure rating. We can reference Flange standard about material group of Pressure-Temperature Ratings, eg. ASME B16.5 Table 2.
